One-on-one education and practical workshops can be extremely effective in transforming a wide range of challenges and concerns. Sexuality educators receive specialized training to provide education around sexuality, intimacy, and relationships. Most people have not received comprehensive sexuality education in their lifetimes. Additionally, all people can benefit from relationship and intimacy education. Coaching and support groups can be extremely effective in transforming a wide range of challenges and concerns. Coaching is generally goal-oriented, action-focused, and shorter-term than therapy. This sometimes also takes the form of peer-to-peer counseling. Sexuality coaching is coaching specific to sexuality, intimacy, and relationships. Due to the action-focused nature of coaching, people who will benefit the most from this work are either (1) looking to make a change or (2) going through some kind of transition. I earned two graduate-level certifications in Sexuality Education, including as a Certified Sexuality Educator with The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, & Therapists (AASECT) and as a Holistic Sex Educator with the Institute for Sexuality Education & Enlightenment (ISEE). AASECT is the gold standard certifying body in North America for sexuality educators, counselors, and therapists and certification through them is a years-long process.   In these programs, I received extensive training on ethics, professional communication skills, socio-cultural domains of sexuality, gender and orientation, intimacy skills, diversity of expression, anatomy and physiology, health and medical factors, range of functioning, intersectionality, sexual exploitation, cybersexuality and social media, substance abuse and sexuality, pleasure enhancement, learning theory and application, history of the sexuality field, sexuality research, and more.

In addition to these certifications, I have a California Multi-subject Teaching Credential from California State University, Northridge. In attaining this credential, I was thoroughly prepared in how to be an effective teacher. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Peace Studies from Chapman University. This degree is multidisciplinary and included work in: sexuality, sociology, psychology, international relations, and conflict mediation. I have separately sought out coaching training (achieved via a two-year communications program) and early childhood education to enhance my offerings. I am a lifelong learner and strongly believe in the responsibility to seek continuing education and remain current on diverse topics impacting my clients. Most recently, I have been fascinated with studying adoption and attachment.

I am located in Los Angeles, CA. I also work on location/traveling and offer virtual sessions via Zoom or Google Meet.

I work with individuals and family systems, throughout all stages of the life cycle. Areas of diverse sexuality are my primary focus, specializing in educating and coaching LGBTQIA+ people and their families.

Education and coaching both typically start with discussing your wants or goals. The first few sessions will involve building trust in our working relationship and sharing background information that will be helpful for working on your goals. How we work towards your goals will depend on your needs and the modalities that suit you best. Session length is similarly dependent on the type of session you are booking, but sessions are typically between 60 and 90 minutes. I am happy to explore more of what this might look like with you in our Q&A phone call.

Protecting your privacy and confidentiality is of the utmost importance to me. For education and/or coaching to be helpful, you need to feel safe to share anything and everything. What you share in session with me is confidential, with a few exceptions we will cover before your first session.

It is very common for an individual to be more open to the idea of education and coaching than others in the dynamic. This is motivated by many reasons; I am happy to have a conversation with your family member(s) or partner(s) to discuss their fears about coming in and to provide them with more information to help them decide if it is a good fit. 

My fees are similar to rates charged by others in the area with my level of experience and training. In addition to single session bookings, I offer monthly plans/ package rates at a discount. I also have a sliding scale for a portion of my schedule, for those who demonstrate financial need. Please contact me to discuss rates.

Unfortunately, my work is not generally covered by insurance. You may be able to pay with your HSA or medical spending account if you have such a benefit through your employer. Please ask your HR department about this for details.

If you need to cancel or change an appointment, let me know at least 48 hours in advance of the appointment, and I will make every effort to reschedule you into another time that same week.  In the event you do not show up for a scheduled appointment or you cancel within the 48 hours and I cannot reschedule you, you will be charged for the session.

Payments are due at the time of service or at the start of each month (if on a monthly plan). I accept cash, checks, debit card, major credit cards, Zelle, CashApp, and Venmo.  Payment can be directly through the scheduling app on this site, in person or via phone apps.
