         I am a relationship, intimacy, and sexuality specialist with 17+ years experience, bringing a wide variety of approaches to my work. I have always been drawn to teaching and counseling as a means to improve people’s lives. From playing schoolhouse with my siblings as a child, to tutoring in underserved communities in my young adulthood, to offering workshops around the world, I am passionate about the difference personalized education and coaching can make. As a queer teen, I struggled with the lack of representation around me. My love and sense of self felt socially unsupported and I didn’t see that being addressed, so I decided to “be the change.” I started gathering resources, sharing them, holding space for friends, and building community. This work started in a deeply personal place for me and building a better world for my younger self is still a huge factor in my approach.  

Today, I have presented and participated in workshops across four continents, contributing as a Consent Lead or in a Harm Reduction capacity at many of them. I began my teaching career as a multi-subject school teacher, working with youth K-5. I soon realized there were enormous gaps for young people and their families in how they understood their bodies and communicated within their relationships. At this point, I sought out and achieved certification as a Holistic Sex Educator from the Institute for Sexuality Education & Enlightenment (ISEE). In making this shift in instructional focus, huge opportunities opened up for me to provide deeper counseling and healing alongside my educational services, especially for/ with populations who struggle to find affirming care (e.g. LGBTQIA+ individuals and families). 

When I am not traveling for work, I live in Los Angeles with my beautiful wife and our two precious kittens. I enjoy spending time in the serenity of nature, exploring foodie opportunities in the abundance of Southern California, nerding out about the intricacies of relationships, and creating whimsical art across a range of mediums. I am also an avid reader and love to share book recommendations.
